The Budobooks association was born with the aim of helping those who teach martial arts to communicate correctly with their students. We believe that good communication, also aided by the immediacy of professional illustrations and constructed with all the technical rigor that the subject requires, is one of the pillars on which every instructor must base his teaching.
The topic is delicate: children and teenagers are hungry to learn and the teacher must be able to guide the learning process in the right direction using all the tools available. Good teaching helps children to grow and produces better adults.
The soul of Budobooks is Francesco Dessì. His drawings, his passion for martial arts and his expertise are the driving force behind all editorial initiatives.
He has been practicing Aikido since 1983, received the title of SHIHAN from Aikikai Japan and achieved the 6th dan Aikido Aikikai, the 3rd dan of Iaido and the 1st dan of Sports Chanbara. Over the years, to deepen his study of Aikido he has also studied, at the basic level, other disciplines such as Karate-do, Shorinji Kempo, Kendo, KenJutsu, Judo, Jodo (degree achieved 1st kyu CIK). He is also an advanced level female anti-aggression instructor. He teaches in Milan.
